Training Opportunities

Incident Command System Level 300 Training

To start off the new year, Jackson County Fire District will be hosting two separate Incident Command System 300 courses in February.  Many organizations have requested an ICS 300 class to begin or continue a federally-funded program.  The classes are instructed at “no-charge”.   In addition, attached is a matrix to assist with determining the NIMS training requirements.  Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate from FEMA-Center for Domestic Preparedness and Mississippi State Fire Academy.
To accommodate many organizations a daytime and a night time/Saturday program.  If you know of anyone interested please forward the information and fax the registration form to 228-769-3016.  For more information, contact Justin Bouler at 228-381-6198.

Enhanced Threat and Risk Assessment

MGT-315 - This course teaches participants how to apply all phases of the DHS and FEMA risk management process to jurisdictional critical infrastructure and prioritize risks from all hazards, assess vulnerabilities, estimate consequences, and use equipment, training and exercises to mitigate risk.  For more information, contact Texas Engineering Extension Service, Karl Rehn at karl.rehn@teexmail.tamu.edu
